Tijuana is a vibrant city located just south of the United States border, in Mexico. It's part of the state of Baja California and is known for its lively culture, delicious food, and friendly people! Tijuana is the biggest city in the state and is home to about 1.7 million people! That’s like a super big soccer game, but with lots more fans! Tijuana is famous for its colorful streets and amazing markets, where you can find all sorts of crafts and yummy treats. It’s a place where different cultures come together, making it very special!

Tijuana was founded in 1889! Back then, it was a small trading post. But it grew quickly! The famous Tijuana River runs through it, helping the city thrive. During the early 1900s, many American visitors came for fun, bringing their music and dances. Tijuana also played a big role during the Mexican Revolution (1910-1920), as people crossed the border seeking safety. By the 1980s, Tijuana really exploded in popularity, becoming a bustling hub of excitement known for its lively nightlife and amazing festivals!

For longer trips, people use taxis or rideshare apps. Tijuana is close to the U.S. border, and many people cross using the San Ysidro Port of Entry, one of the busiest borders in the world!
